MagSafe-compatible case
A MagSafe-compatible case is a phone case with its own ring of magnets built in, so a MagSafe iPhone still attaches to magnetic accessories and chargers through the case.
Ordinary cases put distance between the phone's magnets and the mount, which weakens the hold. If you use a case without magnets, stick the metal ring on the outside of the case instead.
Avoid keeping bank cards or key cards between the phone and a magnetic charger. Apple warns this may damage magnetic strips or RFID chips.
