Hook mount
A hook mount is an air vent phone holder with a hook that reaches behind a vent slat and pulls the mount against it, usually locked with a turning knob. It suits horizontal vent slats with space behind them.
Because it pulls from behind rather than squeezing from the front, a hook mount is less inclined to slide along the blade. It does need a slat with a gap behind it for the hook to sit in.
